MY STORY & PHILOSOPHY

Over 15 years ago, my sister Carol decided to make a presentation for school about Lithuanian Easter traditions.  She wanted to explain games, food, and crafts done in a traditional Lithuanian home.  The entire family got involved.  Our mother taught us the traditions that were passed down in her family and researched others.  From then on, our family has been learning new Lithuanian traditions, honing our skills, and having fun doing it!

I fell in love with egg etching.  The technique is special and not widely known.  I have honed my skills and modernized some elements of this particular craft to make it something both new and traditional.  My designs are either borrowed from traditional designs or adapted from the everyday.

It is important to express yourself in different ways. My mother, Elaine, lives that philosophy more than anyone else I know.  She taught my two sisters and I countless types of art and crafts.  She made sure we learned through hands on experiences.  Even now, after we all grew up, moved out, and started "life," we all keep busy with creative projects.

Every item here will be made by either me or a member of my family.  I hope you enjoy exploring this site.  Please contact me with any questions you have!
